Remembrance Day for Lost Species

(CST, UTC-06) (CST, UTC-06)

The Hungry Brain, 2319 W. Belmont Ave, Chicago

From Rebecca Jasso, songwriter and event founder and organizer:

Every November is a chance to reflect on the human impact animals and plants. Remembrance Day for Lost Species is a time of mourning those species who are now extinct, and a day of renewed commitment to those that are still here. It's a day where we can think about how we can better share the planet with all of life. Since 2017, songwriters in Chicago have gathered to perform songs we've written about wildlife, and to raise money for an organization that helps with conservation. This year, we are supporting Friends of the Forest Preserves. We're writing about Ecosystems. The line up includes: Alisa Rosenthal Ami Saraiya Cheryl Tomblin Heather Styka Jenny Bienemann Jeremy David Miller Jesse Lava Matthew Pittman Rachel Drew Rebecca Jasso Renee Nanzer Ryan Suzuka Sue Fink Zach Duenow
